BIO-DISPERSANTS

A dispersant is a substance added to a solution to enhance the separation of particles and prevent them from settling or clumping together. In the context of water treatment, dispersants are often used to maintain the suspension of solid particles or prevent the formation of deposits in pipes, tanks, or other surfaces involved in water processes.

Bio-dispersants, specifically, are dispersants used to prevent the formation of bacterial substances or biofilms in water systems. These substances can include bacterial slime or biofouling, which may accumulate on surfaces and interfere with the efficiency of water treatment processes or equipment. Bio-dispersants help break down or disperse these bacterial substances, preventing their accumulation and improving the overall efficiency of biocides. These chemicals play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and performance of water systems by preventing the buildup of bacterial substances and biofilms, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of water treatment processes and biocide treatments.
