Metal scavengers are used in water treatment to selectively remove and bind heavy metals and metal ions from water.

Metal precipitants are substances that induce the precipitation of metal ions in a solution. This process helps isolate surplus metal ions, making it possible to efficiently eliminate them from a water source.
